MUS strongly condemns the terrorist attack in London Westminster on 22/03/2017.

It is with a sad and heavy heart that I write to you on behalf of the Shia Muslim Community of the UK. We are all appalled and outraged at this heinous and completely unnecessary loss of precious and  sacred human life.
The UK Shia Muslim Community not only distances itself from all acts of terrorism in any form, but stands firmly with the rest of the British Community against all perpetrators of evil.
Islam is the epitome of peace and goodwill for not just mankind, but all life. Respect for other cultures and religions is an edict of Islam.

The UK Shia Muslim Community is in mourning with the families of the loved ones lost in this atrocious act of cowardice and depravity.  We feel especially for the children, who might never understand or come to terms with their sudden loss.
It is a common and rightful expectation that everyone return home safe and sound. It is incomprehensible that one could die in the performance of their regular, daily duty.  The brave Police Officer has earned the gratitude of the entire British nation, and we will remember him in our prayers always.

The entire UK Shia Muslim Community, without exception, would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to all the loved ones of the innocent victims.

We hope and pray that no more innocent lives are lost again to Takfiries.

Yours Faithfully,

Ali Raza Rizvi
